What Is the Writing Practice?
If you are called to write, consistent writing practice is essential. Sometimes, though, it’s difficult to find the focus and self-discipline to stick to a time that works. If you have found yourself struggling with starting or maintaining a writing practice, you are not alone!
And that’s why I created the Writing Practice Monthly Membership.
This monthly membership is a place where you can find accountability and compassionate support. A place where like-minded individuals come together multiple times per week to do just what you are doing: writing, cultivating voice, sharing story, and finding inspiration and motivation through self-reflection.
What’s Included?
Each writing session begins with a check-in where we set an intention for our writing practice and share what we will be working on for the writing time.
I take participants through a brief, grounding, soothing rhythm breathing exercise to transition into writing time.
We write for 45-50 minutes and then come back for a check-out on how it all went.
Additionally, at the end of the writing time, I offer support, compassionate practices and strategies, and spot coaching as needed.
The schedule for the Writing Practice is the same each week:
Tuesdays: 9:00-10:15am ET / 6:00-7:15am PT
Wednesdays: 10:00-11:15am ET / 7:00-8:15am PT
Thursdays: 9:30-10:45am ET / 6:30-7:45am PT
You may be wondering: why all this talk of compassion and writing? It’s simple. The writing process is vulnerable. It requires you to be in your head. And sometimes, that landscape is harsher than we would like it to be. Sometimes, the harshness of our own internal landscape stops us mid-sentence, mid-thought, and seemingly creates a block or resistance that is difficult to work through. That’s where compassion comes in. I bring compassion to the writing process because we all need it. And it makes our voices stronger and our writing better.
This is a safe haven, a supportive space for writers of every kind — so I’d love to see you there. Whether you’re working on a book or are simply looking to integrate a regular journaling practice into your life, the Writing Practice is for writers at every point in the process. Writing can change your life — as long as you let it. I hope you’ll invest in yourself and your writing practice today.
The monthly membership is $125 — come as many times per week as you like to fit your schedule. There is no contract or long-term commitment, so you can pause or stop whenever you like and rejoin when you need to. However, if you are someone who knows you want to be in the Writing Practice for a few months and you would also like the added support of some one-on-one coaching sessions with Heather, you can sign up for our four-month package bundle ($1,500). Sign up now and join us for our next session.
